Ritual, The Art of Being Aware with Lisa O'Connor

Our ethos calls upon a mindful and ritualistic approach to beauty and wellness, and we’ve been honoured to be a part of a community that celebrates a slower, more meaningful way of life.

To honour our growing community, we wish to shine a spotlight on the women who continue to inspire us through our shared commitment to ritual, with the hope to inspire you to adopt your own nourishing rituals.

It is truly an honour to have Lisa O'Connor help us begin our journey.

What does mindfulness mean to you?

Mindfulness means cultivating peace through all the waves, valleys and the flow of life.

What place does mindfulness hold in your wellness practice?

It’s everything, it’s the pillar of my day. Having a mindful practice is the key to deeper vitality in all areas - body, mind and soul.

What daily rituals have you developed that help cultivate a greater awareness?

My daily practice which involves kundalini yoga, meditation, and walking in Nature

What place does .eluo. hold in your rituals?

It holds a sacred place in my rituals through taking the time to nourish my skin, senses, and greater connection and consciousness with the whole, natural and potent ingredients of the products. It’s pleasurable, which is such a big part of being and feeling good!

When do you feel most in flow?

When I’m in Nature, with loved ones and choosing joy above all else

What does connection mean to you? And how does that relate to living well?

Connection means unifying with my own Body, Mind, and Soul - and that of others and the larger collective. It leads to a rich life in all areas, as I see my greater purpose in relationship to the whole. Our Spirit and Soul thrives off of connection, so it’s the essence of living well.

On self-healing... how can we connect to our intuition to better care for ourselves?

By making the space to be in stillness. Our intuition is always speaking, but we often don’t get quiet enough to hear it.

How do you cultivate beauty?

Through kindness, my connection to Nature, nourishing my body with food from Mother Earth, and radiating outwards what I want to see in the world.

How does skincare relate to wellness?

Skincare is how we nourish our outer layers of skin, and because the skin is our largest organ it has a direct connection to our well - being, as everything in our body, mind, soul system is connected. When we take the time to nourish ourselves from the outside in, we look and feel better.

In this moment, right now, what is nourishing you?

Hugging trees, cuddling with my husband, co - creating with others in their healing journey, watching the flowers emerge from the ground, cold showers, meditation, and surrounding myself with deeply supportive and loving humans.
